July 21, 2011 - Too Much For Me

Today, we bring you a little musical relief on what is most likely an oppressively hot day in your neighborhood. It comes from the great Stevie Wonder. Obviously, we all know and love Stevie Wonder. Now maybe you've heard his entire catalog, and you are familiar with this song...but, I've never heard this song before. I have no idea what it is. I can't understand half the lyrics.
But, I love it. Stevie loves it. The slightly creepy old guy who comes in at the end and calls him "Stevelin" loves it. It comes at arguably the peak of Stevelin's career, right before he released his classic album "Innervisions." It's just Stevie in some kind of abandoned studio, just sporting a ridiculously tight brown turtleneck and effortlessly dropping another classic on your head. To be honest though, one of my favorite parts of the video is the backup singers. It's always nice to hear really good background singers at just the right level. Of course, the real star is Stevie, and when he starts talking about flying somewhere on a unicorn to find the visions in his mind, well, I don't know what to say about that part actually.
