Really Short Story: A successful college coach steps down without controversy...hmmm, something's not right.
Short Story: If Urban Meyer keeps this up, pretty soon the only difference between him and Brett Favre will be some cell phone pictures. For the second time in two years, Meyer announced that he will be leaving his post as Florida's head football coach at the end of the year. Apparently, this time he is stepping down to spend more time with his family. Although, good luck trying to explain that concept to a bunch of crazy football fans....or to your children, who probably aren't all that interested in spending a large amount of time with their father now that they are in college. Not to rain on your little farewell parade or anything, Mr. Meyer. redd foxx

WHY?: Oh my goodness. I just watched a few random Redd Foxx clips on YouTube and I'm almost embarrassed that I hadn't really paid that close of attention to him before. I always figured that an old show called Sanford & Son couldn't be that funny, but right about now I'm strongly considering purchasing that entire series on DVD. Not only did the man formerly known as John Sanford (yes, his real name was Sanford!) choose an awesome psuedonym in Redd Foxx, but he was a hilariously controversial comedian as well. He also associated with Malcolm X for a time in the 1940s and lived an extremely extravagant lifestyle that left him owing over $3.6 million in taxes at the time of his death in 1991...which is probably not a horrible time to owe the IRS a large amount of money.
