Really Short Story: Sketchy guy with a sketchy website gets arrested for sketchy unrelated crimes.
Short Story: As his infamous website continues to fall under attack for releasing thousands of classified U.S. government documents, creepy dude/WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was arrested in London in connection with sex-crimes charges in Sweden, and yesterday was denied bail out of fear that he might flee the country, which, to me, doesn't sound like something an Australian computer hacker-type moving from country to country faster than he can post top secret documents would do, does it? Of course, this does not mean that Assange will be extradited to the United States or charged with anything related to WikiLeaks, so, uh, whatever? Really, whatver, let me know when we catch Osama. kim basinger
December 8, 2010: kim basinger Day! - I feel like she should have starred in Basic Instinct or Fatal Attraction, but at least she was in Wayne's World 2.
WHY?: I know she's pretty attractive and she won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1997 for her work in L.A. Confidential, but to me, Ms. Basinger will always be known for two things: being married to Alec Baldwin before he was fat or well-respected as an actor, and playing Eminem's mom in 8 Mile. Did you know she also bought a small town in Georgia in the 80's. However, she sold it in 1993. She also once dated Prince. She's also had a relatively distinguished acting career beyond the aforementioned films, and I bet she never would have guessed 20 years ago that her then-husband, Baldwin, would be more well-known than her in 2010, even after a tape was released of him berating his teenage daughter on a voicemail.

dame judi dench - I'm not sure what a dame is, but Notre and Judi Dench are the only people I know who have been given that title.
