Short Story: So, if I were to tell you that Goldman Sachs is trying to invest in Facebook through private investors outside of regulated markets, so Mark Zuckerberg's little internet project can remain private while enjoying the perks of being a public company, what would your first thought be? Sounds just like another one of Goldman Sachs sneaky backhanded money-making ventures? Just another case of Facebook continuing it's quest to take over the world? Or maybe a little bit of both? Either way, it's surely something that will be on the mind of the SEC now, as they try to figure out how to treat a deal between one of the world's most notorious investment banks and a growing behemoth of a private company.
